This year's setup for Giants Rooks' festival appearances required a very flexible design which could be used at both daytime and nighttime. Since the shows also varied in size we started by working on the elements ever so present on stage: the band, their instruments and the risers they are placed on. By dyeing every possible element surrounding the artists on stage in one specific colour, we generated a monochrome canvas to place them in. Boyblue was chosen as said hue to generate a recognizable look for daylight shows while at night it behaves almost like white paint that can be coloured in by our lighting design. Another main design element were the touring cases with integrated lighting fixtures which can be placed quickly during changeovers and were conveniently easy to transport and store. They obviously had to camouflage into the blue setting, too.
